Thierry Charon

Thierry Charon, tax adviser and partner, is a member of the Executive Board of Loyens & Loeff N.V. He co-heads Loyens & Loeff’s VAT, Customs & International Trade Practice Group in the Benelux and focuses on VAT, customs, excise duties, international trade matters, real estate and transfer pricing.

About Thierry Charon

Thierry is co-head of Loyens & Loeff’s VAT, Customs & International Trade Practice Group in the Benelux. He divides his time between Loyens & Loeff’s Belgian and Luxembourg offices. He is also a member of the Loyens & Loeff Automotive Team and its China and India Desks.

 
For more than 20 years, Thierry has specialised in VAT, customs, excise duties, international trade matters, real estate and in transfer pricing matters. He also advises clients on real estate transactions. His clients are mainly from the automotive, finance (securitisations, holdings, investment funds) and real estate sectors in Belgium and across Europe. He also counsels international organization and foundations on indirect taxes matters.

He is mentioned in his field of expertise as a leading expert by ITR World Tax, ITR Tax Controversy Leaders and Legal 500 EMEA. He is also recognised as an expert in tax law by the Best Lawyers guide (2017). Thierry is frequently asked to speak at seminars on VAT and customs-related matters.
